Visvim visits Cuba
At about 4 pm this afternoon I get a text from our marketing director Quimari and he asks me "have you seen the visvim line yet?"--I reply "no, I haven't"---then after like 30 minutes I get a text "This is why I fell in love with quality clothes." So I checked it out and here I am posting it and I think to myself--Why do we enter this industry? Is it to make money? To be famous and rich? Or is it for the love of it?*Like everyone says* I don't really know the right answer to this, or whether there is even an answer to this question. I think the sole purpose why we enter the garment industry and show people our style and try to spread our belief--Is to spread/share the knowledge we have obtained in our lifetime through our clothes. I think the real purpose people make clothes to sell is to make money, provide a new knowledge, and become a teacher sort of speak to the new generations picking out a pair of jeans, with nice poly/cotton shirt, clean socks, and a flourished pair of bally's--walking out his doorstep for the world to see. Maybe someday we can motivate that kid, to try to step out of his realm and incorporate his knowledge and experience through his clothes. Maybe we can learn to appreciate new things. Maybe we would have the same vision. Maybe, it could be...P.PASSE.
